Job: Endpoint Security Expert Consultant
When: Feb 15th or March 1
Pay rate: $60
Type: Contract
Length of Engagement: 12 months
Experience:
• Strong Windows Server administration skills and experience.
• Experience configuring and supporting endpoint security software solutions (Trend Micro, Symantec, McAfee, etc).
• Understanding of DNS and related tools.
• Knowledge of hardware and network in an enterprise class infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of network design; excellent documentation is a must.
• Strong understanding of scripting and automating tools.
• Strong understanding of general security best practices, and work with a security mindset.
• Familiarity with information security tools
Job Duties:
• Assist customer with design, implementation, daily monitoring and maintenance of endpoint security solutions implemented within the Customer infrastructure.
• Monitor sources, including vendor bulletins and Microsoft bulletins, for new vulnerability and threat alerts.
• Provide customer with subject matter expertise concerning all issues related to antivirus security including virus infestation mitigation processes.
• Assist in issue troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of endpoint security solutions currently installed within the customer infrastructure.
• Assist customer in process to ensure environment and software compatibility of endpoint security solutions to be installed, implemented, or otherwise used.
• Assist customer in the testing and rollout of scheduled endpoint security product updates and patches
• Work with customer to develop endpoint security deployment packages and assist with product package deployment
• Manage product support issues, coordinate communications between customer’s operations staff and vendor’s support staff to resolve complex issues, and to assist in escalating issues.
• Through discussions and demonstration, provide periodic informal on-site knowledge transfer, as needed to designated customer employees covering the management, normal operation, and maintenance of the endpoint security infrastructure.
• Assist customer with on-going architecture updates for diagrams, configuration guide(s), and supporting documentation for the endpoint security program when necessary.
• The consulting team will conduct quarterly program status presentations per year to checkpoint the program’s status and strategic direction relative to customer’s business objectives.
Compensation: $60/hr
